On 9th of April, 2010 in Federal Agency of intellectual property, patents and trademarks (Rospatent) had took place the signing ceremony of the Cooperative agreement between Rospatent and Federal antimonopoly service (FAS Russia). The agreement has signed by the head of Rospatent Mr. B.P. Simonov and head of FAS Russia Mr. I.U. Artemyev.

        The Council of Coordination centre for national domain in the network had decided to prolong the Internet stage of registration priority in the new Russia national domain. РФ till 11th of May 2010.
       Shortly the Council of Coordination centre will confirm the new position about registration priority, and then the second stage of registration priority for the domain. РФ will be opened.

One million trade marks

The number of international trademark registrations topped the one million mark when Austrian “eco” company Grüne Erde, which specializes in natural wood, textile and cosmetic products, registered its mark this month under the WIPO-administered Madrid system for the international registration of marks. 

Changes in the European patent legislation since 1st April, 2009.

In today’s date the European Patent Convention (ЕPC) includes thirty five countries as its members, and three so-called «distribution countries», covering thereby territory of all Europe, and even beyond its geographical borders. Thus, as experience shows, to Russian applicants to remind once again that reception of the European patent yet does not mean automatic reception of patent protection in territory of all countries EPC.

How to get a Eurasian Patent

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation by  Order No. 325 of 29.10.2008 has approved Administrative Regulations of implementation by RosPatent of government function on organization application acceptance on industrial design and their considerations, and also examination and issue industrial design patents in accordance with the established procedure in the Russian Federation.
